The lowering of ALAT is progressing well. We are currently holding ALON at 335-340 and lowering ALAT the last 10 degs toward 0.
We will allow a few more (2-3) orbits for this to occur, to verify our position, and for the solar angle to decrease to below 40 degs. for extra power. After that we will activate the passbands from MA 20 to 140.
As we chase the sun back to 0/0 at about 1 deg/day, the passbands will be lengthened and moved more into the second half of the orbit.

AO-27 active but lots of QRM
Hi all – mostly in Europe.I have monitored AO-27 over three passes this evening and the QRM is much worse than it was a few month ago on the uplink frequency 145.850 MHz.
The first pass over the Middle East was really bad – but the nextover Central and Southern Europe was not much better.The last pass I could hear a few minutes ago – to the west was not too bad.
Seems like we have to start the silent diplomacy again. Please tryto get stations of the uplink frequency.
This shows why it is sometimes difficult to access SO-50. It is blocked by strong stations on the same frequency.

Jag har idag lyssnat p satelliten och avkodat telemetrin,
Alon/Alat 343/22 1622 svensk tid.
Beacon r mkt stark, min mottagningsutrustning bestr av en 60cm parabol frsedd med patch och en konverter p 1Db Nf.
Avstnd till satelliten 53254km riktning 95AZ 5EL.
S-mtaren visar ca 5 S enheter och Db mtaren 16DB, squinten r fr nrvarande 16 grader.
Satelliten frvntas att ppna fr trafik inom en vecka.

PCsat is doing fine and will continue in good Sun through New Years Eve. Seeing about 50 users per day and 30 per pass over the USA. Any packet station can copy her, just tune 145.825 and watch (1200 baud normal AX.25 packet).
To transmit though her, just set your unproto to UNPROTO APRS VIA WIDE, go to CONVERSE and type something to somone else you see. This is the same path as APRS users use terrestrially. (RELAY, PCSAT-1 and W3ADO-1 also work)

Sapphire (45) is 10 minutes behind PCsat in the same orbit. Her uplink is 145.945 and very weak downlink is on 437.095 +/- Doppler. Her digi callsign is VIA KE6QMD. ISS is not doing packet these days, but we can hope…
During travels, set your mobile to 145.825. When you hear one PCSAT pass, the next one is exactly 100 minutes later and the NEXT day the same pass is 30 minutes earlier. (And Sapphire is 10 minutes behind it but takes a UHF beam to hear it on 437.095, though it is easy to hit on 145.945..)
