There is little more than 6 weeks left in which to complete the outstanding commissioning activities on Sumbandila before operations are planned to be handed over in middle-March to the Satellite Application Center, who will then continue to operate the satellite on behalf of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) - owner of the satellite.

Since our progress is currently hampered by the various SA-AMSAT payload activities, we have unfortunately no choice but to temporarily suspend this service on SO-67. We plan to have it "on air" again end-March / beginning Apr this year.

We have so far successfully executed more than 320 payload activations since we started using the SA-AMSAT payload in Q4 2009.

In this example you will hear the following SpaceCam1 sequences.
First, DTMF Tone (#). This tone is used to turn on the Vox-Box to make sure the radio has time to get up to full power, before sending the CW-ID.The CW-ID is next. This is the call sign of the ISS RS0ISS
The Last portion is the 36 seconds of Image data. We chose Robot-36 to be the default because we are concerned about overheating the TM-D700 transceiver.

If you would like to see more SSTV, then we need your support to get the USB Vox Box project approved for Flight. With the USB Vox box, ISS will be able to send over 300 Robot-36 images to Earth per day. The crew can choose either images from their Disk drive or from their live USB camera.

Satelliten fungerar utmärkt och nytt schema publicerat på hemsidan

*EME (lovade att posta en liten snabbinformation, ,)

Vi diskuterade lite 144mhz EME och den här helgen har det varit extremt bra förhållanden. Den som vill lyssna lite mot öster i kväll när Månen går upp1800 z i södra SM kan ratta in 144040-144060 för CW. Det är dock rätt svårt att lyckas att höra något på ren random när man inte har varit med tidigare.

Vill man göra det lite lättare för sig i starten kan man använda WSJT
programmet JT65B samt besöka http://www.chris.org/cgi-bin/jt65emeA för att se vilka frekvenser det är trafik på. Man får dock inte ta för mycket lärdom av vad som pågår på den sidan då en del användare utbyter information under pågående qso och räknar dom som initialer i stället för ett rent experiment qso då man kan tillåta sig att utbyta lite information. (allt för att lära sig och optimera sin station)

Det här sättet är dock en bra början för att kontrollera om man har så pass bra mottagning att man kan höra EME signaler vilket man bör kunna med en optimerad satellitstation.

Har man dessutom möjlighet att ratta in 143050 mhz så har vi tillgång till en riktigt stark beacon som lätt hörs via EME. Meteorer samt ISS
reflektioner.
